Unknown terminal type



Please make sure that:

1) your terminfo environment variable points to where emacs put the eterm
specific terminfo file --depending on your emacs installation it is somewhere
under emacs/etc/..

Alternatively, install the terminfo file for eterm in the default place where
linux looks for it --namely /usr/lib/termino/...

As a quick fix just set your TERM environment variable to vt100 and you'll get
99% of the functionality
(note that you'll have to resort to this when logging into remote systems from
an eterm where you don't have the permissions to install a terminfo file of
your choice)
