vkill.el, which is a `view kill' mode using ps was written in 1989.
It has not been maintained. Several years ago, I set it to list
ps -ewo user,pid,ppid,pcpu,pmem,vsz,rss,stat,start_time,command --sort=pid
You can specify something different. You can mark and unmark
processes and send them signals. I use it all the time.
As of this morning, vkill works in Emacspeak; but it just lists USER,
PID, %CPU, %MEM, and so on. It is not friendly.
Tested with
GNU Emacs 22.0.98.11 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.8.20)
