The message "search failed" we're hearing is not an emacspeak bug, but a bug in search in info mode in Emacs. It turns out that info mode has a bug where it is signalling a search-failed on the first hit --- and since emacspeak sets up signal to speak the signal being raised, you hear it. It turns out that that signal gets caught and handled later by another layer of code in emacs, which is why non-speech users have not caught it -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the emacspeak list or change your address on the emacspeak list send mail to "emacspeak-request@xxxxxxxxxxx" with a subject of "unsubscribe" or "help"
