start emacspeak silently

Hello

I want my emacspeak to startup in a quiet mode. It is
I don't want it to speak anything - even a startup
message.
I did the following but it still speaks the startup
message and "indent number" when I hit enter:

(setq emacspeak-character-echo nil)
(setq emacspeak-line-echo nil)
(setq emacspeak-word-echo nil)
(setq emacspeak-speak-messages nil)
(setq emacspeak-play-emacspeak-startup-icon nil)
(setq emacspeak-audio-indentation nil)
(setq voice-indent-settings nil)
(setq emacspeak-audio-indentation-method nil)
