Well I had a crash today. I did a few things and got speech up and running. c-e c-s seemed to get it going once, but after that it took a bit of fiddling because things weren't working entirely. m-x emacspeak got things working after that. I suspect it's a speech server issue as c-e c-s seemed to get it talking again. I'm using the linux-espeak speech server. In regards to how often crashes occur: I only got one today.
