Speech rate and pitch changes since mac server update

Hi everyone,

I've just updated emacspeak picking up the recent mac speech server
changes.

I've noticed that it appears to be a side effect that the speech rate
and pitch appear to keep increasing.

I can't as yet pinpoint the actions that are causing it but even when I
turn off voiceification I'm having an increased pitch form where the
server starts.

Restarting the server resets to the expected rate, pitch etc.

Haven't got time to dig into it just now but is anyone else seeing this
as well?
