Hi,

The behaviour you're getting with emacspeak-auditory-icon-function is quite similar to what I observed in a different environment (in Emacspeak on Debian on UserLAnd on Android).  In my case, the solution was as simple as installing alsa-utils, but I'm not at all familiar with macOS, so I don't know if that will help you at all.

 emacspeak-sounds-select-theme and
 enter pan-chimes theme's folder this doesn't make the theme work

 expected. No errors just nothing. 

 can anybody let me know what I'm doing wrong. I suspect that I'm
 loading the themes in wrong somehow or  I haven't got something 
 set that I need to. But I can't figure it out.
