Christopher J Chaltain <chaltain@xxxxxxxxxxx> suggested "a new key
sequence which moves down a line and reads the new line from the
cursor to the end of the line".
How about the following:
C-x ( C-n C-u C-e l C-x )
This defines a keyboard macro with the suggested command sequence -
that is the part between "C-x (" and "C-x )". Run it with C-x e, or
give it a name and its own key binding.
