Emacspeak problems with multivoice

Hi

I am having a problem where it only speaks the first bit of a line. eg in
info, it only speaks the * on each line. Also, c-e s doesn't work, and
speech doesn't stop when typing.

After moving arround in info for a minute, it starts speaking rubbish. It
seams to only speak the first bit of every word. When typeing, it only
speaks the first bit of every letter. 

os is redhat linux 5.1, tclx 8.0.2, gnu emacs 20.2.1, emacspeak 9.0.
