I'm brand new to Linux/Unix, though I have
experience with the Windows environment, and many years ago, Multics and
Emacs. The only reason I'm venturing off the Windows reservation
now is because emacspeak looks like the only hope a blind friend of mine
has to experience the Internet. I have a clean install of RH
Linux 7.2, have read pertinent documentation as necessary, but I seem to have
hit a wall installing emacspeak.
First, I carefully read the instructions
and tried install emacspeak-14.01
Most recently, I attempted to install v 15
and followed the instructions at:
Both times the end result was the same.
Loading and linking seem to work fine, but after entering the emacspeak command,
emacs came up without a trace of emacspeak and had the following messages in the
"Compile" and "Message" buffers:

I suspect that this means there is a problem with a
"tcl" module. I see that the standard RH 7,2 distribution has tcl
software, but I'm not sure what to do with it or how to tell whether it is
already installed.
Would somebody mind pointing me in the right
direction, please?
