checking spelling

Hello,
When checking spelling, how do I get to hear the list of suggestions
for misspelled words?  All I get told is how many corrections are
available.  Also, when using flyspell, the commands "c-," and "c-;"
don't appear to do anything.  I start flyspell-mode, and the
misspelled words get highlighted as I type them.  What am I missing?
