I tried to get emacspeak 16.0 working with my litetalk synthesizer on
slackware 9_0. After having done the download and configure and make of
emacspeak-ss-1.9.1.tar.gz since the slackware version wouldn't work I
decided o test it. So I typed tcl ./doubletalk <cr> and got back the
following strange output:
Script started on Fri May 23 13:12:34 2003
root@xxxxxxxxxxx:/tmp/emacspeak-ss-1.9.1# tcl ./doubletalk
Set port to /dev/ttyS0
Error: stty: standard input: Input/output error
while executing
"exec stty sane 9600 raw -echo crtscts < $port "
("Linux" arm line 3)
invoked from within
"switch -exact -- $machine {
DEC { #osf and ultrix
exec stty sane 9600 raw -echo < $port
exec stty ixon ixoff < $port
}
..."
(file "./doubletalk" line 939)
root@xxxxxxxxxxx:/tmp/emacspeak-ss-1.9.1# exit
Script done on Fri May 23 13:12:47 2003
