speech servers question

Raman,

I believe the effort would be worth it. I currently run three speech
servers, two of which are not tcl scripts: eflite and a version of
outloud running inside a chroot.

My guess is in the future there will be an increasing number of speech
servers that for one reason or another are not tcl scripts or can not
be launched directly from tcl.

I would be willing to have a shot at doing the work if you give me
some pointers where to start.
