Hello,
For the Doubletalk LT, the emacspeak variables could be set in emacspeak.conf like this:
export DTK_PROGRAM=doubletalk
export DTK_PORT=/dev/ttyS1
unset DTK_TCL
With this kind of setting, this line must been added at the beginning of the doubletalk file (under emacspeak/servers):
#!/usr/bin/tcl
or wherever is the tcl interpreter in your distro.
So, the synth speaks English.
On another hand, I do not try yet if it can speak Spanish under Linux.
Regards,
Gilles
