ubuntu espeak character echo latency

Hello Les and list,

I can't help your espeak problem, but, whilst some of us do use espeak
with emacspeak, many of us use the voxin synthesiser, from

http://voxin.oralux.net/

It is not free, but very cheap at around $5, and is of high quality.
The server to use in the emacspeak/servers/ directory is
linux-outloud.

Rob
