Hello Greg, Thanks for the reply. I decided to just change the caps lock to Super and change the windows key to Caps Lock. I've not run into many keystrokes that conflict with GNOME or the shortcuts I've set for emacs. I just have to remember to be more decisive about the super key because I have a tendency to hit the super key and release it without hitting other keys.
