libtcl.so.0?

Good day folks,
  I am a very new Linux user and am trying out several different way of interacting with the operating system to see which I like the best. When I began to read about Emacs I was very excited, and more so to hear that it works with the software DecTalk from Fonix. So last week, I purchased the software and installed it. I then downloaded and installed Emacspeak 19.0 from the emacspeak website along with the software-dtk-1.0-1.i386.rpm package. However, I've now hit a pretty substancial snag.
  When I tried to install the software-dtk package, I received errors that libtcl.so.0, libtts.so, and libttsus.so were package dependencies. Upon reading this, I checked to determine to which products these libraries referred, and discovered that libtts.so and libttsus.so were already installed because they are software Dectalk libraries. I also found that the TCL and TCLX packages were installed and up-to-date. Since the RPM refused to install, I downloaded the source code and successfully installed the tcldtk.so file into the /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers directory. However, when I try to invoke the following command:
tcl /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/server/dtk-soft
I get an error saying that libtcl.so.0 can't be found. I've since tried uninstalling version 19 and going to 17, along with making several attempts to install the software Dectalk RPM with the --nodeps option, but have gotten no further. After searching the mailing list archives for nearly a week, I've decided to bring this topic back up on the mailing list. I am running the Fedora Core beta distribution and have run yellow-dog update manager to ensure that the software on my machine is current. If anyone knows what I need to do to get DecTalk to work, please let me know.
