I must admint, I didn't check where to get the wv package from - its
part of Debian, so I only had to do an apt-get to have it
installed. The pdftotext is the one from xpdf, so if it has problems
with type 3 fonts, you will get the same garbage. You may be able to
get a better result by converting it to postsript and then decoding it
to text with pstotext.
