Aha, thanks for the tip. Explains why you do not see compilation warnings! LOL
As for the not knowing vs missing out, I will politely disagree. It's frequently better not to know! :)

And no, at my end I see no warnings --- Emacspeak is one of the few
Emacs extensions that compiles with no warnings because I use those
myself to keep the codebase clean.
