Just to echo what Greg has explained. As we all know, with the Internet,
once it is out there, it is out there and cannot be removed. While we
may be happy to remove something from our archive, we have no control
over the many other archives out there.
As a case in point, we have had some challenges getting legitimate
archived content indexed by Google due to Google's indexing engine
finding copies of Emacspeak content which is not controlled by us and
which has certain configuration issues that generate errors. Not a big
issue, but demonstrates how hard it is to remove information once it is
'out there'.
I also feel that forcing posting to the list be a conscious decision
rather than just a matter of hitty 'reply' is the correrct option.
