Nice! I'd been vaguely considering creating a similar back but could never quite work out how to get code running in NVDA's context.
Thanks for poking at this!

I threw together a quick hack to get Emacspeak on WSL outputting to NVDA. I've been running it for the past few months, and it's been serving me well. It doesn't have fancy features yet (changing pitch/rate for links etc) but it suffices for what I want. (Note that it'll probably only work on WSL2, I haven't tested on WSL1 yet.)Emacspeak discussion list -- emacspeak AT emacspeak.netthe repository is at https://github.com/wiresong/whistler. Try it out, let me know how it goes. I'm unlikely to update it much further-unless I get bored on a weekend-but if anyone wants to take up adding support for pitch/prosody/etc, I'd welcome pull requests.- Dhruv
