The mail and web servers at emacspeak.net will be down for maintenance starting at 22:00 UTC on November 1st 2026.
Tim and I anticipate that mail will be up and access restored by midnight. We will send out a message to the lists once work and testing is complete. Please refrain from posting or trying to access mail.emacspeak.net or www.emacspeak.net until you get the "All Clear" email from us.
Over the time that we are working on the systems mail will not be accepted or delivered and web access and so sympa list server access, will be unavailable. If systems appear available before the all clear note is sent it is because we are testing them. Anything you try to do with or on emacspeak.net over this time will likely be lost.
I will send a reminder once more a few days before the outage.
As it can take a few hours for all mail from the lists to be delivered it doesn't make sense to send a note right before the systems are taken off line as many of you would not get the note until everything is restored.
